INTUITION
INTUITION
INTUITION is the first IoT solution supported by Machine Learning that optimizes Wind Turbine downtimes, using Vibrational-related data processing in combination with Operational Modal Analysis particularly adapted to rotational machinery equipment. This leads to the remote detection of discrepant components behaviour at its early stages, and its foreseen evolution while the turbine remains in working condition, enabling repairs to be planned and executed during convenient periods (scheduled downtimes or lack of wind).
¿HOW IS IT COMPOSED?
From a functional perspective, INTUITION can be broken down into the following components:
· Sensor´s network: 12 nodes distributed among the components of the wind turbine.
· The IoT Gateway consists in a commercial gateway (a link between the local communication network of the nodes and the internet).
· The cloud-based platform will house the entire algorithm described above, necessary to locate the anomaly within the drivetrain.
· The Dashboard: A real-time dashboard will be remotely accessible through internet connection by the designated users of the customer.

HOW IT WORKS
Sensors (nodes) commence to collect vibrational data that we can compare in real-time with our predetermined Finite Element Model. To do so, we perform a Modal Operational Analysis. Based on the Empirical Mode Decomposition (EMD) the collected data is processed to study non-lineal vibrational signals. As a result, signal functions obtained are associated to a specific effect within the registered signal, and by processing these functions associated to a frequency through the Fast Fourier Transform method; we are able to link them to each of the vibration sources (components) of the wind turbine, allowing us to compare these results with the previously vibrational patterns established.
